Pastor's Page
Welcome
to Winnwood Baptist Church! The purpose of this Website is to help
answer questions you might have about what God is doing at WBC and to
find some of the answers to questions you might have about the God we
serve and love.
We’re people just like you – with real
lives, real issues, real challenges, real dreams, real fears, real hopes.
Yet, we are connected to the Source of life, joy, peace, and security
– Jesus Christ! I invite you to join us and “experience the connection”
with our loving God in worship and through His word, with great music,
friendly people, ministries for every age group and life-situation,
and a life-message for you.
You’ll find additional links on this
web site to let you know more about our church and how you can ‘get
connected’ for life and for eternity through Christ and this church.
Welcome! And thanks for taking this first step in what could be the
most transforming connection of your life!
It would be an honor to have you join
us for worship. When you do, you’ll see why every Sunday is a celebration
at WBC! -Pastor Tony

About the Pastor
I
totally love being in the ministry! I have a fantastic wife, her name
is Teresa and we've been married for 24 years. She is also our office
administrator here at WBC. We have 3 kids (Lindsay, Zach & Rachel),
and I love spending time with them..
I love bike riding, fishing, and just
being outdoors. I especially enjoy going to Royal's and Chief's games.
My favorite cup of coffee is black and strong! I grew up in Kansas and
Oklahoma.
I've been in full-time ministry for over
20 years pastoring in Texas, Arkansas and Missouri. I have a bachelor's
degree in Pastoral ministry from Baptist Bible College in Springfield,
MO.
Stuff about me you'll just have to live
with: I say things like "Shake your head like this if you know what
I mean." I'm always talking about going out on visitation (bass boat).
I'm a Lance Armstrong fanatic. I love to tell silly jokes because I
enjoy seeing people laugh and have a good time in church.
My favorite verse is Ephesians 3:20:
"God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or
think according to the power that works in us."
I love Tex-Mex and KC BBQ!
